The Complete Guide To Quantico, Virginia
MCB Quantico is located 35 miles south of Washington, United States, in the Commonwealth of Prince William County. To the south of the base are Fredericksburg and Richmond, to the east is the Chesapeake Bay, and to the west are the Appalachian Mountains. The closest airports are Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, United States and Washington Dulles International Airport in Chantilly, Virginia. Ronald Reagan National Airport is 33 miles away. Washington Dulles International Airport is 40 miles away.

If arriving at MCB Quantico during regular business hours, please proceed to the Human Resources Office on the second floor of the building at 2006 Hawkins Avenue. You can contact IPAC at 1 (703) 784-4479. IPAC will provide assistance with administrative pre-screening issues, including updating personal records, original approvals, travel requirements, day-to-day questions and conference welcome information.
Once the Marine completes the IPAC verification process, he will be forwarded to his battalion or headquarters to receive his verification forms and other processing.

While many military family members call it base housing, others choose to live in nearby communities. The neighboring communities of Dumfries, Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, Stafford, Triangle and Woodbridge provide housing, employment and other activities for the military families of MCB Quantico. Spotsylvania's 13 million-acre Lake Anna is great for boating, skiing, swimming, fishing, camping and other outdoor activities. Spotsylvania also offers guests and visitors a wide range of shops, wines, beers, restaurants and much more.
Stafford County is located south of MCB Quantico and is bordered by the Rappahannock and Potomac Rivers. It has a population of around 153,000,000 and is the childhood home of George Washington. The county has many attractions, parks, golf courses, wineries, breweries and shopping opportunities. The 17-hectare area is protected by a state system of environmental protection and an ancient archeological site that offers trails for pedestrians and bicycles.
